Ingredients
  

  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Slice onions with a slicer.
  • Soak onions in buttermilk for 30–60 minutes.
  • Mix flour with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Dredge onions in flour mixture.
  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry onions in batches 2–4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve.
