- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Slice onions with a slicer.
Soak onions in buttermilk for 30–60 minutes.
Mix flour with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Dredge onions in flour mixture.
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry onions in batches 2–4 minutes until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels and serve.
