Candy Apple Bread
- ¾ cup white sugar.
- 2 cups flour.
- 1 ½ tsp cinnamon.
- 1 tsp baking powder.
- ½ tsp baking soda.
- 1 tsp salt.
- 2 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples.
- 2 large eggs.
- ½ cup vegetable oil.
- 2 tsp vanilla extract.
Caramel Sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar.
- ½ cup unsalted butter.
- ¼ cup milk.
- 1 tsp vanilla extract.
Candy Apple Bread
Preheat your oven and grease your loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the eggs and combine them with the melted butter or oil, and vanilla extract.
Peel, core, and chop the apples into small cubes or thin slices.
Gently fold the chopped apples into the dry ingredient mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Baking Instructions
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake the bread in the preheated oven for approximately 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Carefully remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Caramel Topping
Combine 1 cup of packed brown sugar and ½ cup of unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir the mixture continuously until the butter melts and the sugar fully dissolves.
Next, slowly add ¼ cup of milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth and creamy. For an extra layer of flavor, you can optionally add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Allow the caramel to simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly, then pour it generously over your freshly baked bread for a sweet, decadent finish.
Sprinke with colorful sprinkles and chopped nuts.
Enjoy!
